Learn 3 facts about Thimerosal
3 FACTS ABOUT THIMEROSAL: MERCURY IN VACCINES
1) WHAT IS THIMEROSAL?
Thimerosal is used as a preservative in some vaccines and contains 49.55% mercury by weight. Although several U.S. influenza shots contain the mercury-based ingredient, Thimerosal has been removed from most early childhood vaccines in the U.S. and other developed countries since 2003. Manufacturers currently produce mercury-free (“Thimerosal-free”) or mercury reduced (“preservative-free”) vaccines for the U.S. and other developed countries while producing vaccines with unreduced (higher) levels of Thimerosal for developing countries. “We recognize the importance of vaccines and want all children to benefit from them. However, it is unethical to give children in developing nations shots with higher levels of Thimerosal, a toxic ingredient largely discontinued in the U.S. a decade ago.”
-Mercury Free Baby Founder and CoMeD President Rev. Lisa K. Sykes
2) HOW CAN THIMEROSAL HARM PREGNANT WOMEN, CHILDREN, AND OTHERS?
All forms of mercury are toxic. Since the early 1930s, there has been evidence indicating that Thimerosal poses a hazard to the health of human beings, visit https://oasisnaturalcleaning.com. Science continues to prove the dangers of Thimerosal, as the following selected excerpts from recent scientific studies show:
• “Recently, the countries of the EU and of North America…made the right choice in adopting no-Thimerosal vaccines for young children.”

• “The entirely unnecessary, ongoing iatrogenic use of mercurials in medicine should be fully discontinued, particularly within the use of thimerosal in pediatric vaccines.”

3) DO ALTERNATIVES FOR THIMEROSAL EXIST?
•Yes, Phenol and 2-Phenoxyethanol (2-PE) are both already used as preservatives in a number of vaccines. 2-PE is the least toxic of the three preservatives and is a superior anti-microbial. “Historically, there may have been reasons to use Thimerosal with vaccines, but they do not apply any longer as single-dose, Thimerosal-free vaccines vials are cheaper now…but for a safe and quality service check out https://www.myamericanmaid.com/. Long-term harm may be done to all public health initiatives if international organisations do not act decisively to remove the potential threat posed by the use of Thimerosal in vaccines.”
